     Due to our rent jumping up in price significantly this past March, my husband and I had to leave our first home together. It was a frustrating and exhausting experience finding a new home for us and our pets. We discovered that very few apartments in our price range would allow pets. Since we have a cat, a rabbit and a parakeet we really needed to find somewhere pet friendly.   Unfortunately push came to shove and we had to rehome our parakeet as the apartment we finally settled on wouldn't allow all three. Due to my back injury back in 2013 I stopped pursuing photography as a job and went back to it being a hobby. Once in a while I'd do a photo shoot but rarely asked for payment. I was asked a few months ago to take photos for a small wedding, and I would even be paid! I agreed to take the job but made sure the bride understood my problem with my back injury sometimes causing me to have to cancel. She said she knew beforehand (groom is my husband's friend). My old laptop gave up the ghost a few months back thanks to some nasty virus. We couldn't afford a new laptop so I made due with my husbands even older laptop that had Linux on it. I was sad to learn that my photo editing programs would barely work on that laptop, and I also was sad to learn I couldn't stream any Netflix or Amazon Video on it either. God is good and my in-laws just happened to buy a new laptop so I was given the extra they had. It's relatively new and it actually runs my programs and Netflix!
